About the Role

We are seeking a Director, Event Sales to join as an integral part of our new Luxury Media brand team. The Director, Event Sales will play an active role in the sales revenue, operations and strategies for all events within the company. A successful track record in exceeding sales target for events. This is a role for Robb Report Hong peer role in the company and is expected to successfully meet sales targets and work as a team to identify business opportunities. The right candidate has a passion for sponsorship sales and prides themselves on their communication skills, attention to detail, challenges the norm and welcomes new and unique sales models within the media industry. They will be expected to always portray the brand in a professional manner inside and outside the office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fully responsible for the top line revenue on any events or projects.
• Pitch and sell functions for any events and projects.
• Develop, drive, and execute a proactive sales strategy for events.
• Identify key business verticals and target pitching for both regular and one-off events.
• Create tailored proposals and respond in a timely manner to client requests.
• Work as a team to recognize potential opportunities to upsell and cross-sell across company portfolio.
• Lead process to ensure client and guest satisfaction, developing relationships with new and existing clients.
• Stays current on industry trends and seeks creative ways to infiltrate markets/accounts.
• Working closely with company stakeholders for the overall event's budgeting as well as annual budget event calendar and timeline.
• Sales reporting including pipeline and progress of booked business and event status.
• Attend industry events, outbound sales efforts, and site/venue visits.
• Maintain and update a competitor sitelist and calendar of key events.
• Performs other tasks or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree holder in any disciplines, preferably in Media, Advertising, and Tourism Minimum

• 5 years of event sales experience

• Have an established network of corporate and luxury clients

• Ability to demonstrate an exceptionally high level of professionalism in social etiquette when dealing with an exclusive database of UHNWIS

• A proven and tangible record in executing successful events and working to and exceeding sales targets

• The ability to ensure maximum revenue is achieved

• Able to meet deadlines effectively and efficiently

• A listener, problem-solver and good team player

• Results-driven and forward-thinking

• Possessing a high level of initiative and sense of responsibility

• Experience in strategic digital and social media communications is an advantage

• Fluency in English and Cantonese, Mandarin an advantage
